Along with an extensive academic and research background, each consultant at Mox Modo brings (on average) 25+ years of hands-on experience performing the services we offer to our clients. We constantly bring additional resources on board as needed, depending upon the expertise required for the assignment. This lean and fluid approach allows us to both stay focused and remain nimble, using only the experts you need for a given project.
Sandro Fusco
Founder, CEO
Dr. Sandro Fusco is a creative business innovator with extensive work experience (20+ years) in product management. He is an industry expert in Quantitative Finance, Risk Management and Portfolio Management, and has an excellent track record designing, developing and launching innovative Portfolio and Risk Analytics solutions. He also specializes in opening-up new markets, defining business strategies, leading technology and engineering teams, and helping companies understand their customer base more intimately. Prior to founding Mox Modo LLC, he was the Global Head of Applied Research and Solutions Design at Wilshire Associates. Prior to that, Dr. Fusco spent 15 years at Thomson Reuters, most recently as Global Head of Investment Management Risk, where he was responsible for the strategy, definition, roadmap, and execution of all portfolio and risk analytics on Eikon, the flagship financial analysis solution for Thomson Reuters. Dr. Fusco is an accomplished public speaker, and a frequent guest speaker at international conferences on quantitative finance and risk management. He is currently a Visiting Professor of Practice in the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU – Suzhou (China), and held an Adjunct Professorship at Columbia University in the City of New York until he moved to California in 2013. Dr. Fusco holds a PhD in Mathematics & Statistics from York University in Toronto, and a MA degree in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University in the City of New York.
François Cosse
(Focus: Data Management Services)
François is an innovative professional with extensive (25+ years) management of and hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and delivery of software, data, and databases. He enjoys leading people and managing projects and believes in leading by example. Transparency, Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, and Respect are at the core for his leadership style. Throughout his entire career, François has designed and coded software and is familiar with all aspects of software development. He has successfully managed software and data teams working on multiple projects and has been the main architect for several of those projects. He is a strong leader, who is very organized, well versed in project management, and adept at presenting complex information in a simple manner. Prior to serving as a consultant at Mox Modo LLC, François was a Managing Director of Wilshire Associates’ Analytics division and the Global Head of Data Management Services at Wilshire Associates Incorporated. He joined Wilshire Analytics in 1990 where he oversaw all data functions for the division including acquisition, data feed aggregation, cleansing, storage, packaging, and delivery. François holds a BA degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Teri Geske
(Focus: Financial Services)
Teri has (20+ years) of experience in the investment analytics industry, with expertise in fixed income markets. She has a practitioner’s view of investment management concepts, including quantitative risk measures, factor models, benchmark construction and performance attribution, and an academic’s perspective on research. With experience managing product design and business development in the analytics arena for asset managers, insurance companies, banks and pension plans, she has a track record of assessing and translating clients’ needs into thoughtfully designed solutions. She has a supportive, collaborative work style with strong writing skills and a proven ability to make complicated topics understandable at various levels. Prior to working with the Mox Modo team, Teri was a senior member of the Product Management and Applied Research teams in Wilshire Associates’ Analytics division. Before that, she was the Head of Business Development, Product Design and Quality Assurance at CMS BondEdge/Interactive Data Fixed Income Analytics. She was an adjunct professor and executive-in-residence at UCLA’s Anderson’s Master of Financial Engineering Program, where she implemented and managed the Program’s Quantitative Finance Master’s thesis requirement, and taught Corporate Finance in Mount Saint Mary University’s MBA Program. Teri has published numerous articles in practitioners’ journals (e.g., Journal of Performance Measurement, “Comparing Returns-based and Factor-based Attribution) and has taught many workshops and training sessions for investment analysts and banking and insurance regulators. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Reddy Sabbella
(Focus: Build scalable multi-asset class analytics platforms with legacy and latest technology components)
Reddy is an experienced financial services software professional with excellent track record of leadership, analysis, planning, architecting, managing and delivering multi-asset class and multi-tenant portfolio analytics web platforms with the combination of legacy modules and latest technologies. Very creative and highly analytical in solving technical and finance problems. Has exceptionally deep understanding of both software development and financial aspects of complex securities and their impact on portfolio level calculations. Expert knowledge with distributed computing frameworks, NoSQL databases, and designing SaaS systems with fault-tolerance, failover and scalability. Prior to serving as a consultant at Mox Modo LLC, Reddy has 25+ years of financial services software development and management experience at Wilshire Associates, MSCI, and Barra. Reddy developed software systems for Risk management, Scenario Analysis, historical and Monte Carlo VaR, Performance Measurement, Performance Attribution, Portfolio Optimization, Security-level "What-If" analysis and various portfolio analysis tools for fixed income and multi-asset class systems. Reddy holds an MS degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University and an M.Tech degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.
Rishi Srivastava
(Focus: Financial Technology)
Rishi’s experience scales from early startup to mid-size enterprise, ranging from building global workforce, inspiring and leading large diverse teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment, to strategic planning and execution of product roadmap. His key strengths are Project / People / Product Management, Business Analysis and Technology Assessment. He has more than 20 years of commercial enterprise software experience, in areas like Portfolio Analytics and Factor Based Risk Models, Financial Services and Robo-Advisory (Fintech). His early startup work experience at Extensity Inc., was as a Lead Engineer in the core-technology team, where he invented technologies like Group Based Data (US Patent), Workflow Engine (US Patent), and Bob (Extensity Business-Object) Inheritance mechanism. Extensity Inc. had a successful IPO and was later acquired by Infor. As CTO of Quantal Inc, he manages and coordinates large cross-project local and remote development teams responsible for Quantal Risk Analytic enterprise products. This includes providing technical expertise and business analysis of Quantal’s multi-factor risk model, asset and credit risk models. He also initiated and completed the migration of Quantal’s on-prem platform to the AWS cloud. He also has extensive hands-on experience in building full-stack SaaS based highly scalable secure enterprise web applications using AWS technologies. This includes container based DevOps (CI /CD) and Machine Learning technologies using Tensorflow and Sagemaker.
